Lakeside Engineering was founded in 1996 to offer a real alternative to the dealer networks.

We offer the same or better level of service andrepair at a more affordable price, we do not have the plush reception area with the mandatory potted plant and the capppuccino machine, so if that is what you require we are probably not the place for you, but if on the other hand if our ability to service / repair your car to the highest standard at an affordable price within a sensible time scale iswhat you require then we are the people to see.

The Lotus Elise service schedule is relatively straight forward but has been slightly complicated by Lotus's/Rovers change of the point at which the cam belt is changed 

According to most owners service books the cam belt should be changed at the C service but that has now been changed the forth year A service, which has had the effect of splitting the cost of the major service over three years which can't be bad thing. All our service prices include a brake fluid change where applicable.

The Porsche service schedule is relatively straight forward a oil service every 12,000 miles, a slightly bigger service every 24,000 miles, a bigger one still at 48,000 and a full major service at 96,000 miles, Strangely the oil service does not include changing of the oil filter, for the relatively small cost of an oil filter approx. £13 this does seem like a false economy and we would recommend it is changed at every service
