You know how it is. After a period of time a special relationship develops between the three of you: the owner, your Porsche, and the technician who cares for it. You learn to know and trust each other; you?re all in perfect harmony enjoying life. It?s a deep and personal three-way love affair.

Marco Fonseca is a Porsche fanatic who has made this relationship possible for so many other Porsche owners. Once a customer and now the proud proprietor of Porschmode, tucked down a side street in the St Paul?s area of the city.

It's just a short distance from the striking new Cabot Circus shopping mall, is now well established, keeping Porsches from Bristol and the nether regions on the road and in fine fettle.

Smaller amounts of money spent regularly can help keep the really big bills at bay. Boxsters, for example, need regular engine flushing to stop the oil ways clogging ? they?ve got one example of Porsche?s roadster at Bristol that?s clocked up 270,000 miles.

Thankfully, says Marco, most of Porschmode?s customers take the company?s advice, to their advantage. To Marco almost every Porsche, and other makes come to that, should be worth saving. Take the company?s 944S loan vehicle ? that?s a car rescued from the threat of the breaker?s yard and restored in the workshop. It?s now covered 200,000 miles and regularly gets the thumbs-up from owners who borrow it whilst their cars are in for service. In fact the mission goes beyond Porsche.
